About us
We are Healthguard, your partner in occupational healthcare.
At Healthguard, we believe that genuine interest in each other, a healthy workplace and committed leadership are essential for the employability of your people.

Vision
Together we create a healthy and safe working environment.
Our approach focuses on effective preventive activities, early intervention and sustainable solutions that keep employees engaged and able to work. That requires collaboration between the employee, the manager and our professionals.
Together we work on a healthy and safe working environment, and we also pay attention to employees’ private lives and personal challenges that may affect their employability.
Our approach rests on four core values: specialist, timely, effective and collaborative.
Would you like to support your employees’ health and move from absence management to employability?
Where pressure builds
The gap between demand and capacity
In a demanding work environment, what the work asks rises faster than what people can carry. Deadlines, peak periods and hybrid working drive employee and organisation apart. That space is where the pressure sits, long before anyone is ill. Absence is then the release valve.
Why it can be different
Unravelling absence
Absence often starts earlier, with reduced employability. There is rarely a single cause behind it. Is it about the work, something private, health, or an employment law issue? Unravel that first, and you choose the right approach. A conflict is not an illness: reporting sick does not solve it.
What we doEarly signalling
Seeing the signals before they become absence
Strain shows on four levels, and a manager can recognise them without medical knowledge. Most of it is visible for weeks before it becomes absence. That is where acting is easiest.
- 01PhysicalPersistent tiredness, more small complaints or short absence, poor sleep.
- 02EmotionalA shorter fuse, or quiet and withdrawn. Cynicism about the work.
- 03Mental and behaviourConcentration and memory slip, more mistakes, working through everything.
- 04Meaning‘What is the point?’ Loss of meaning, friction with your own values.
Our approach
This is how we work
As your partner in occupational healthcare, we work from four core values: specialist, timely, effective and collaborative.
We start with a baseline assessment
How your occupational health is organised today, where the absence is, what is going on in the teams. The result is a concrete plan, not a standard package.
A dedicated doctor
The same registered doctor at every consultation, preferably at fixed times in your office.
A dedicated team
A case manager who keeps track and coaches managers and HR. Where needed, a psychologist, occupational expert or coach joins in.
Help before someone drops out
A consultation hour that is open to people who are not yet ill, and a quick conversation with a psychologist or coach. No waiting list.
Insight with our own tooling
Workload, health and absence per team, through a platform already running at other organisations. So you can see whether it works.
